AMAZING COLORIZATION OF ICONIC BLACK & WHITE PHOTOS

Sanna Dullaway has given us a glimpse into how some of the most iconic black and white images of our time would have looked had they been shot in full color. These are not just another plain old restoration job, these are some of the most accurate and realistic colorizations of black and white photos I have ever seen.

As I scrolled through image after image it became more and more clear that there is no way I could ever do this. I can’t image the amount of time, talent and artistry that is involved in getting these photo’s to look as brilliant as they do.

What do you think, do you prefer the black and white versions or the color versions?

    1. Agreed. Many of them such as the “burning monk” & “Einstein” seem to make who those people were more real. After colorization I felt like they were no longer just a figment of history in a time I wasn’t born and can’t directly relate to, but real people with a sole and a life just like mine. It sounds stupid but that’s exactly how I felt when I started browsing through these. Glad you enjoyed the post!

  1. I just love peoples take on photography, how they see things, how they take them, and more importantly, why.
When you take a photograph, you capture a moment in time, and thats wonderful.
